As we have dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and pure luck. The goal is to shift your checkers safely around the board to your inner board while at the same time your opposition shifts their checkers toward their inner board in the opposite direction. With competing player chips moving in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for particular strategies at specific times. Here are the two final Backgammon tactics to complete your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the purpose of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to move his checkers, the Priming Game strategy is to completely block any activity of the opposing player by creating a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's checkers will either get hit, or result a battered position if she at all tries to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anywhere between point 2 and point 11 in your game board. As soon as you've successfully constructed the prime to block the activity of the competitor, the opponent does not even get to toss the dice, that means you shift your pieces and toss the dice again. You will be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Technique

The goals of the Back Game strategy and the Blocking Game technique are very similar - to hinder your opponent's positions hoping to better your chances of winning, but the Back Game plan relies on different techniques to do that. The Back Game strategy is frequently utilized when you're far behind your opponent. To compete in Backgammon with this strategy, you need to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more challenging than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are moved is partially the result of the dice toss.
