The objective of a Backgammon match is to shift your pieces around the Backgammon board and get those pieces from the board faster than your opposing player who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Winning a round in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and good luck. Just how far you can move your pieces is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and just how you move your checkers are decided on by your overall gambling techniques. Enthusiasts use a number of tactics in the different stages of a game depending on your positions and opponent's.

The Running Game Tactic

The aim of the Running Game tactic is to entice all your chips into your inner board and pull them off as quick as you could. This strategy concentrates on the pace of shifting your pieces with little or no time spent to hit or stop your competitor's chips. The ideal scenario to employ this technique is when you think you can shift your own chips faster than the opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your competitor's checkers; or 3) your opposing player doesn't use the hitting or blocking strategy.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary goal of the blocking plan, by the name, is to block your competitor's pieces, temporarily, not fretting about shifting your chips quickly. As soon as you have established the blockage for the competitor's movement with a few pieces, you can move your other chips quickly from the board. You should also have a good strategy when to back off and shift the pieces that you employed for the blockade. The game gets interesting when your opponent uses the same blocking technique.
