As we have dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and good luck. The goal is to move your pieces carefully around the game board to your home board while at the same time your opponent moves their chips toward their inner board in the opposite direction. With competing player pieces shifting in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular tactics at specific times. Here are the last two Backgammon tactics to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking plan is to hamper the opponents ability to shift her checkers, the Priming Game tactic is to completely block any movement of the opposing player by constructing a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's pieces will either get bumped, or result a battered position if she at all attempts to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be setup anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. After you've successfully assembled the prime to block the movement of your opponent, the opponent does not even get to toss the dice, that means you move your checkers and roll the dice yet again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Strategy

The aims of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game plan are similar - to harm your opponent's positions hoping to boost your odds of winning, but the Back Game strategy utilizes alternate tactics to do that. The Back Game technique is often utilized when you are far behind your opponent. To participate in Backgammon with this strategy, you have to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single checker) late in the game. This plan is more complex than others to use in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your pieces and how the pieces are relocated is partially the outcome of the dice toss.
