As we have dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and pure luck. The aim is to shift your pieces carefully around the board to your inner board and at the same time your opposition shifts their chips toward their home board in the opposing direction. With opposing player pieces moving in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for specific strategies at particular instances. Here are the last two Backgammon strategies to finish off your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking strategy is to slow down the opponent to move her chips, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely stop any activity of the opposing player by assembling a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's checkers will either get hit, or result a bad position if he ever tries to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anyplace between point two and point eleven in your half of the board. As soon as you have successfully constructed the prime to stop the activity of the competitor, your competitor does not even get to toss the dice, that means you move your chips and roll the dice yet again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Tactic

The goals of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game strategy are very similar - to hinder your competitor's positions hoping to improve your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game tactic uses alternate tactics to do that. The Back Game strategy is frequently utilized when you are far behind your opponent. To compete in Backgammon with this technique, you need to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single piece) late in the game. This technique is more difficult than others to employ in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are relocated is partially the outcome of the dice roll.
