As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of talent and luck. The goal is to move your checkers carefully around the board to your inner board and at the same time your opposing player shifts their checkers toward their home board in the opposing direction. With competing player chips moving in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for particular techniques at specific instances. Here are the last two Backgammon tactics to round out your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the purpose of the blocking strategy is to slow down the opponent to shift their pieces, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely stop any movement of the opposing player by constructing a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor's checkers will either get hit, or end up in a battered position if he at all tries to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be established anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your board. As soon as you've successfully constructed the prime to stop the activity of the opponent, your opponent does not even get to roll the dice, that means you shift your checkers and roll the dice yet again. You'll be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Technique

The goals of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game strategy are very similar - to harm your competitor's positions with hope to boost your odds of succeeding, however the Back Game strategy relies on different tactics to do that. The Back Game strategy is often used when you're far behind your competitor. To play Backgammon with this technique, you need to control two or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single checker) late in the game. This plan is more complex than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it requires careful movement of your chips and how the pieces are moved is partially the result of the dice toss.
